The course explores different models and approaches to leadership in higher education. It is particularly suitable for people who have no formal leadership training in the area of teaching and learning, especially as institutions seek to harness the transformative potential of new digital technologies.
The course introduces participants to contemporary models of leadership and the importance of the actions of the many big and little people within complex organisational contexts. The aim is to develop confidence and better understandings of the role educational leaders play throughout an organisation in building a culture of transformative change.
This course is part of the EMPOWER project which aims to build expertise and leadership in the successful uptake of new models open, online and flexible higher education.
